Common questions

How comfortable is a sofa bed to sleep on?

Klick-klack styles are firmer and better suited to occasional guests than nightly use. Adding a topper transforms the sleep surface into something much closer to a traditional mattress if you plan to use it more frequently.

What’s the difference between a sectional, sleeper sofa, and klick-klack?

Sectionals are L-shaped with a chaise (often reversible, many with storage). Sleeper sofas are traditional three-seaters with a pull-out bed inside. Klick-klacks use a simple fold-flat mechanism.

How many people can sleep on it?

A klick-klack comfortably sleeps one adult. The fold-flat mechanism creates a single-bed surface — great for guest rooms, home offices, or student apartments.

How easy is it to assemble?

Klick-klacks are some of the easiest sofa beds to assemble — typically just attaching the legs. Usually done in 15 minutes with basic tools.

Every klick-klack sofa bed in this collection uses the same simple fold-flat system — no pulling, no lifting, no wall clearance needed.

How it works: Lift the backrest forward until you hear a click, then push it down until it lies flat in line with the seat. The backrest and seat cushions align to form a single continuous sleep surface. To return it to sofa mode, lift the backrest back up until it clicks into the upright position.

Converts in seconds: The whole process takes about 10 seconds with one hand — no hardware to fuss with, no mattress to pull out, no strength required.

No wall clearance needed: Unlike pull-out sofas, klick-klacks convert in place. You can push a klick-klack flush against a wall or into a corner, and it’ll still fold flat when you need the sleep surface.

Best for occasional overnight guests. If you plan to use the sleep surface nightly, a topper is recommended.

Klick-klack sofa beds are built for spaces where a full sectional or sleeper sofa would overwhelm the room.

Small footprint: Our klick-klacks run roughly 68–74″ wide and 30–33″ deep — about half the footprint of a standard sectional.

Where they fit best: Home offices that double as guest rooms, basement dens, student apartments, dorm rooms, studio condos, and any tight space where you still want the flexibility of a bed for occasional overnight guests.

Easy to move: Klick-klacks are lighter than sectionals and sleeper sofas, which means one or two people can reposition them without removing legs or dismantling the frame. If you move homes often, this is the sofa bed that moves with you the easiest.

Klick-klacks are our most affordable sofa bed style — but “affordable” doesn’t mean “cheap build.” Here’s what you’re getting:

Solid reinforced frame: Every klick-klack in this collection is built on a solid frame. The same durability standard we apply to our sectionals and sleeper sofas.

Real upholstery: We source real fabric upholstery — linen, velvet, corduroy, PU leather, microfiber — high quality fabrics to endure and last through continuous use.

FOLD FLAT IN SECONDS

Push down. Done.

The klick-klack mechanism is the simplest sofa-to-bed conversion on the market. Lift the backrest, push it flat, and you have a single-size sleep surface. No mattress to pull out, no hardware to fuss with, no wall clearance needed. Conversion takes under 10 seconds with one hand.
COMPACT BY DESIGN

Fits where a sectional won't

Our klick-klacks slot into spaces where a full sectional or sleeper sofa can’t. Home offices, basement dens, dorm rooms, studio apartments, condo living rooms — anywhere you need seating that can double as an occasional guest bed. No wall clearance required either, so they work flush against any wall.

PERFECT FOR GUESTS

Designed for occasional guests

Klick-klacks aren’t built to be your everyday bed — and that’s the point. They’re built for the spare room that needs to double as a lounge, the home office that hosts your in-laws a few times a year, or the basement den that welcomes weekend sleepovers. When guests aren’t visiting, it’s a comfortable sofa. When they are, it’s ready in seconds.
