How comfortable is a sofa bed to sleep on?

For occasional overnight guests, our sofa beds are plenty comfortable out of the box. For nightly use, we recommend adding a topper — it transforms any sofa bed sleep surface into something that rivals a regular mattress. Sectionals with pull-out beds tend to feel more bed-like; klick-klacks are firmer and better suited to shorter stays. You’ll find the sleep surface size listed in the specs for each model.

What’s the difference between a sectional, sleeper sofa, and klick-klack?

Sectionals are L-shaped with a chaise (often reversible, many with storage). Sleeper sofas are traditional three-seaters with a pull-out bed inside. Klick-klacks use a simple fold-flat mechanism.

How many people can sleep on it?

Our sectionals comfortably sleep two adults, with enough room for two adults plus a baby depending on the model. They also work perfectly for a single sleeper. Some open to a queen-size sleep surface and others to a double. 

How easy is it to assemble?

Most of our sofa beds arrive nearly fully assembled — typically you just attach the legs and (on sectionals) align the chaise to the main body. Assembly usually takes 15–30 minutes with basic tools.

Every sectional sofa bed in this collection features a hidden pull-out mattress designed for real overnight sleep — not just a foldout couch cushion.

How it works: The pull-out base is tucked underneath the seat of the sofa. To set it up, pull the base outward from the front of the sofa until it’s fully extended, then pull on the fabric straps to lift the cushion up until it’s level with the seat — creating a flat, continuous sleep surface in seconds. Reverse the process to tuck it back under when you’re done.

Built for overnight guests: Ideal for hosting friends or family, giving your kids’ sleepovers a proper bed, or turning a home office into a guest room when needed.

For frequent use: If you plan to use the pull-out regularly, we recommend adding a topper — it transforms the sleep surface into something closer to a traditional mattress.

Every storage sectional in this collection includes a hidden compartment built into the sofa — extra storage you can’t see from the outside, tucked inside a chaise, seat, or armrest depending on the model.

Lift-top design: The compartment opens on a hinge mechanism, giving you easy access to the storage space underneath.

What fits inside: Extra bedding, pillows, blankets, seasonal décor, board games, kids’ toys, or anything else you’d rather keep out of sight. The compartment is deep enough to hold a comforter plus pillows without crowding.

Why it matters for Toronto living: Condos and apartments rarely have enough storage. A sectional with hidden storage replaces a separate storage ottoman or console, freeing up floor space while keeping clutter under control.

Reversible chaise: The chaise can be placed on either the left or right side of the sofa. If you move homes, rearrange your living room, or change your mind about the layout, flip the chaise to the opposite side in a few minutes — no tools, no hardware swap. Ideal if you’re unsure which side you’ll want long-term or if you might move in the future.

Fixed Left-Hand Facing (LHF): The chaise extends to the left when you’re sitting on the sofa facing it. Best for rooms where a left-side chaise fits the layout.

Fixed Right-Hand Facing (RHF): The chaise extends to the right when you’re sitting on the sofa facing it. Best for rooms where a right-side chaise fits the layout.

    This sofa bed has been a lifesaver for when family comes to stay. During the day it looks sleek in the living room, and at night it pulls out easily into a comfortable bed. The cushions feel supportive and the fabric is soft but easy to clean. Much better than the old futon we used to have.
